Senior Investment Analyst
“As an intern from New York University, I had the opportunity to analyze a wide variety of companies covering many different sectors and countries. I actively contributed to the team by recommending stocks for the portfolio. The main difference between my experience at American Century Investments and my classmates was that I got to hit the ground running from day one. Many of them had to go through weeks of training before they started analyzing companies. The work I did had an immediate impact on the company.”
Emily Killion
Senior Investment Analyst
“As a career switcher, the rotational aspect of the internship at American Century Investments was extremely valuable in introducing me to different investing styles across the growth and value disciplines. The team-based management approach also allows interns to participate in meetings that expose them to portfolio decisions, like risk management and fundamental changes that impact weights. Interns don’t work on one-off projects; they do the exact job they will do if hired full-time after graduation: researching companies and making buy/sell decisions that have a real impact on fund performance.”
