Steven Brown

Steven Brown is senior vice president and senior portfolio manager for American Century Investments®. He is based in the company's New York office.

Mr. Brown joined American Century Investments in 2008. Previously, Mr. Brown was with Neuberger Berman, LLC, in New York, where he served as global head of real estate securities.

Mr. Brown has extensive experience investing in equity Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), mortgage REITs, Real Estate Operating Companies (REOCs) and homebuilders. Prior to his time at Neuberger Berman, Steve was senior vice president and portfolio manager at Cohen & Steers Capital Management in New York. While there, he gained research experience covering all property sectors within the publicly traded real estate securities universe. Steve also served as a debt rating officer for Standard & Poor's Corporation in New York, where he provided credit analysis for debt ratings on REITs and homebuilders.

Mr. Brown earned a bachelor's degree in economics and an M.B.A. in finance from New York University. He is a member of NAREIT and serves on its Institutional Investor Committee. He also is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
